I can only agree with Tom.
SS 8 years medal is a fake, probably the best fake on market, but a fake.
Just for talk: until today I bought tons of SS medals fakes everywhere, but I was not able to find this one!

This type of medal with the rounded serif lettering & a particular detail missing from the wreath was discussed here recently...these detailed photographs only help to confirm for me that it is fake. Man it's ugly!
