    Unknown ribbon bar, please help?

    Dear all;

    This is attached to a longer ribbon bar and in between the Winter medal and Long service award. I expect it to be some kind of foreign award but can't find any reference...?

    Any help much appreciated!

    F.

    Hello,

    The ribbon is not foreign. It is the ribbon for the Danzig Cross Second Class.

    Best regards,
    Tom

      Hello!
      Foreign ribbons are usually placed last on the bar also. In the order the recipient recived them.

        Thank you both for helping out!

        I understand that in total only 88 first class crosses and 253 second class crosses were awarded; so this is a pretty rare bird to encounter on a ribbon bar?!

          I think Tom knows just how rare. I know I would like one A lot of fake crosses around. But I'm guessing not so many ribbon bars.

            It is indeed quite rare. Good pick up at a reasonable price!

              That's indeed the one Alan!

              (And yes, I realize the KVK is of a smaller design and placed upside down but having it in hand it is totally convincing.)

                swords being upside down isn't really a concern to me. This happened on many ribbon bars. Just the way the assembler thought it looked best I guess.
