I've had this one for a long time, but I wondered if the packet is appropriate to the manufacturer. From the main site, I found who made the 88 marked medals, but can't seem to find reference to the manufacturer on the packet (or I didn't look closely enough...). Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,
A very nice medal, ribbon, and packet that you have there.
The medal is by Werner Redo of Saatlautern. It is completely original as is the ribbon.
Undoubtedly, the packet is original too, but it is a mismatch to the actual medal. In my opinion, that packet has to be rare as I have never seen this maker before. It is obviously to a metal ware manufacture in Posen and there were only a couple of known manufacturers located in Posen. I checked the Lieferant, LdO, and RZM listings and could not locate them anywhere. They could very well be one of the firms listed as "unknown" on the Lieferant listing.
A nice medal, but I love that packet.
Best regards,

I agree, a veri nice group, but the packet doesn't match with the medal.

We must remember even that some packets were done for all the firms of an area, for example I remember a medal from "Josef Rücker & Sohn" and another from "Rudolf Karneth" that used the same packet with the general stamp "Metall-Kunststoff Gablonz"; but not in this case.
This is a Redo Packet.Attached FilesLast edited by Antonio Scapini; 01-01-2013, 10:44 AM.
