Aside from being a social studies teacher I also help sell WWII memorabilia for an estate liquidator. He just gave me a nice Eastern Front medal and ribbon. I know these medals are quite common but I was surprised by the condition it is in. The ribbon is very nice and the medal itself has its original frosting on it. I don't deal with German items too much and was wondering what is the going price for something like this? I was thinking about selling it for maybe 100 bucks but I don't want to shaft anyone nor want to get shafted myself. Any help is quite appreciated!

Hello,
Looks like a nice example, in very good condition, and it appears to be maker marked on the suspension ring. These typically go for around $50, in my opinion. As you say, the medal is quite common. I doubt that anyone would pay $100 for one, but you never know.
Best regards,
