Technischen Luftwaffe award

Hello all, I did´nt know well where to post this... I ask your help in order to know if this Luftwaffe award is a fake. I have heard that this medal was reproduced nearly perfection.

Hi Pablo,

Judging by the pictures provided in the two price guides by Niemann and Hüsken, this one looks fine. An exact match down to every detail in the lettering and Göring´s face.
If it should be a copy, you will have to tell by other things (strange metal, how does the side look, etc.). The detail and form is 100% correct at least.

As Frank says, we need more info to talk about such item => what is the material used, etc ... is it wel made, etc ... a 1000 things to look for .

It would not be a surprise for me to hear that this is also reprouced, but lets face it => wich items had not been faked until today regarding our beloved hobby ?

BETTER BE CAREFUL

This award has been reproduced to near an original.

This round silver medallion was a award that measured 74 mm and came in silver or silver plate. If silver it is marked so on the rim. The award was also produced with a dark burnished finish and came in a unmarked black case with satin white interior in the inside top and interior had a blue satin base recessed to fit the medallion. NONE came with a bright silver plated finish as I have posted. The originals had a heavy "frosting" that tended to give it a "crackled" look.

ORIGINAL FROM FOR FUHRER AND FATHERLAND

I took this scan from Angolia's 2nd Volume of FOR FUHRER AND FATHERLAND. It shows the frosted "crackled" finish.

Look at the area under the nose, the upper lip area. On the two Bill posted, they are the same, on the one Pablo posted, it sticks out to far, giving Goering even more of an overbite. There also seems to be a minute "divot" on the upper lip area on Bills postings, Pablos doesnt have that either.
