Eastern Front medal-real or fake?

Hi Chaps, well I haven't posted on this site in many many years! I ceased collecting militaria a few years ago due to lack of funds (having been in full time education). Anyway I went to a boot sale a few days ago and found some WW2 German medals fairly cheap (which has rekindled my interest in collecting), but i'm really not sure if they are the real deal. First up is an Eastern Front medal:





I haven't bothered with the ribbon because its undoubtedly a modern copy. The medal has a good weight to it and the quality of the moulding is reasonably fine. I checked the suspension ring and there are no numbers or markings present. I hope my photos are reasonable enough to give a more qualified eye an indication on the authenticity of this item.

I dont like the swastika and the letters on the reverse looks very soft, not sharp at all.

I guess now that I look at the Swastika, the left side isn't entirely straight. I know i've got a genuine one in my collection at my parents place so i'll probably try and compare the two. It amazes me that anyone would bother faking these....

Maybe for the pictures that are not sharp, but from what I see this medal IMO is not an original one.

I think so. Brew it's a copy.
