Ostmedaille or Winterschlachtmedaille ?

I'm working on a book about Germand Tank Maintenance in WWII. Could you tell me what is the correct name of the Gefrierfleischorden ;-)

The first name in your title, at least thats what appears on the issue packets.

Hello Lukas,

The official, formal name was Medaille Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42. The informal name was Ostmedaille. Usually both of these designations were printed on the issue packets.

I use Ostmedaille then. The other name is a bit too long to fith smooth.
