    Yeah,

Crudely made, usually if the Germans were making anything without a backing the ribbons would be a lot neater than this on the back...

Usually, from examples within my own collection, they are alligned, and then sewn up along the length of the bar.

I don't think this is a good bar Erich.

I'm with Alan Erich, too many problems on this ribbon bar...

      My books:

      - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
      - THE SS TK RING
      - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
      - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
      - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

      and more!

To back up my statement, here are just two good different types of ribbon bars from my collection, which display the construction I am trying to explain.

One is the regular metal bracket type, the other a miniature sew on example.

I posted a rather open ended statement, kind of hidding my ow opinion. I agree with you all - even the stitching is sketchy. It caught my eye due to the Danzig Cross....a ribbon which I do not yet have in my collection.

I can only agree with what has been said already.

Looking at the Danzig ribbon itself, it is showing some wear which we do not see on the other ribbons. I would say that is proof enough for me that it was removed from another ribbon bar and added to this one.

            Kind regards

...or the other three ribbons added to this one? The stitching job on those looks a bit crude.
