Bronze Mother Cross with issue packet

Here is a bronze Mother Cross that I bought this weekend. The issue packet is a little tattered, but the cross is in almost mint condition. Another great deal from the Great Lakes Military Collector's Show in Toledo.

The issue packet is marked to Jakob Bengel of Idar-Oberstein.

              I agree, a beautiful example.

I have 2 mothers crosses in a frame on my wall between my dagger display and most of my medals; when I show my collection to people, the guys go straight for the dagger and all the women (the ones who dont get 'that look') go straight to the mc's. Perhaps the only time a women gets the value of something wrong.

A great maker mark on the packet Tom Not to often seen large and small print of this type........what is Marcus talking about ???? You look at all other packets of any type and designation, this is an oddity not to often seen......something that I appreciate probably more than most or even notice.

Not that has anything to do with the price of egg's but I know you'll appreciate this little fact Tom.

                I like it mate.

                Kind regards,

                Marcus

                  Hello to all,

Thanks for the comments on this Bronze Mother Cross.
                  Hello Marcus,
Yes, I do know what Marcus is talking about. As you said, the maker marking is unusual on this packet. I like little things like this as much as you do my friend. Here is an EKII with the issue packet by Jakob Bengel. This one has the more commonly found maker markings that you are referring to.
                  Best regards! Tom
