    Nice veterans bars

Great looking Hardware bar of a Russian Front veteran. One of the lucky ones who survived long enough to put it together. Congrats and thanks for the viewing.

                  Hello Peter,

A very nice medal bar in fine condition. I especially like that Wächtler & Lange EK2. Very nice!

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

Perfect piece Peter! I´ve been looking for a medal bar containing EK2 and Frozen meat for ages.

                            Hello to all,

Yet not as common as one would think. Millions of East Medals awarded, but how often are they found on a medal bar? The earliest ones were awarded in the summer of 1942, but many of them were not given out for many months (or even a year or more) after that. By this time in the war, Germans were not coming home in droves to attend parades and weddings. And the majority of senior NCOs and Officers were definitely not upgrading their medal bars in wartime. For the military (at least) medal bars were more of a prewar and early war luxury, when parades were frequent and everything was going well for Germany.

                            Best regards,
                            Tom
