I also have never seen a wound badge marked 20. It will be nice to see what the experts have to say on this one.

I think the badge is ok but not the stamp, it´s not the typical 20 stamp and i´ve never seen a 20 WB before.

The badge itself looks like a good zinker to me. The 20 stamp - who knows? Might be some quality control stamp rather than maker?

I also think the badge is genuine, but the marking on it was probably done post war in an attempt to enhance it's value.

No expert here but the line on the helmet (bottom quarter where the helmet flares out) looks very pronounced to me.

I think I read somewhere that badges with this attribute are better avoided.

Hope this is of some help ...

                          Hello Hagwalther,
You are right in saying that the pronounced line where the helmet flares is a characteristic that is seen on some fake Wound Badges. However there are originals as well that have this same characteristic. A determination of fake or real should not be made solely on the basis of this pronounced line being present or absent. I believe that the badge posted by codemann is good, except for the marking which was probably added later.
                          Best regards! Tom

                            Hi,

The badge is original and the maker mark if it is stamped probably and i agree that is a postwar job, if not and is marked with raised digits then the things are difficult and means that you never know... another maker?
Can you tell us where you find it?

                              Hi Chris

I got the WB from Thomas U. Voss, Hamburg, together with:

                              1. Iron cross 1.kl.
                              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=63218

                              2. KVK 1.kl.
                              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ad.php?t=63849

                              3. Luftwaffe Belt buckels. (I will put this on later)

The iron cross 1.kl and the KVK 1.kl all seems ok, together with the WB. I think this dealer is ok.

Just don't know whot the 20 was. I also think, that the WB is ok. and the stamp, 20, is put there post war.

Thanks to all your guys for helping me
