Hi
I've started a new thread about this Westwall set,....the newly labeled East Medal bag has been discussed and found to be good
The medal also looks good,in my opinion.....made of zinc with a bronzing touch,a late war piece....
But what is it with the maker mark in the ring?I know, there are some L15 medals was manufactured,....all of them fakes?
You can also see the L15 at the Iron Cross, that parts of Orth and Souval were installed,....also fakes?
L/15 was Schickle, and his maker mark was with the / in the mark.......his bussines ending in june 1941,...and then?
So,now I have 3 pieces of this Westwall Medal sets,.....all 3 bags look the same no difference,....just the medals, there is also no significant difference,...but at the rings,2 of them are stamped with the strange L15...one medal is unmarked,...but medals all look the same, hmm
Can we rule out a defective tool at the Orth Company, perhaps an unnecessary edge in the stamp tool?
And what happened with the tools of Schickle in the year 41?
Many questions..........I would appreciate opinions,thanks
Many regards
Erwin
