questions on Riders and Drivers badgesr

Hello All
Not sure if this is the right forum for these badges but heres the questions.

1-Were these military issue or to an orginization of some type.
2-If they were for riders [calvery] and drivers [horse teams army] should'nt they have a swas on them everything else from that era did.
3-2-Are they actually post war.

I really like these badges but can find almost no info on them so any help is appreciated.

Hello, This was a Civilian badge, but was a type of sports badge, like the DRL Sports badge. There were 3 types of this award, each awarded in Bronze, silver and gold:

German Horse Drivers Badge

German Horseman's Badge

Badge for the Care of Horses

I still wonder why this badge was made without a swas other sports badges have some of he largest swasticas of all.

Hello again, im glad! Also, as to that, The badge has and "R" in the bottom of the wreath....Personally, it would have been better with a swastika, but i didnt design the badge I think the "R" may stand for "Reiter" (which is german for: rider) Thats why in german its called the "reiters abzeichen" (riders badge).

And you asked about the drivers badges? Well, as you probably know, they were awarded in 3 grades: bronze, silver and gold. The were sheet stamped metal. As to why they had no swastika? I dont think anyone knows apart from the designer! I can only think that it was just part of the design not to have the swastika!
