          Looks good.

There are better condition 12yrs around with the eagle on the ribbon.

As said before the ribbon is the narrow type.

            Thanks to you all

Yes, it is a thin ribbon without a eagle and the medal is worn but the price was good.
Its refreshing to see sellers that rather sells quick then try to squeeze ever last penny out of an object. After all, it is still a hobby.

It looks better in hand then on the sales pictures.

But a question about the the ribbon on the reverse (see red circle). Is the combination 3 left and 1 right more common then this 2+2? It seems that the ones I have seen often have the 3+1 combo.

                  Peter:

I had a look through some of my long service collection. Four & Twelve Year.

I found 2 and 2/3 and 1 mixed in among the different medals.

Some of my mounted pairs have 2 and 2 and 3 and 1 on the same bar.

Probably just a different die used when striking the medals.

Can't say if one is more common than the other

I think it checks out...the 2/2 combo is probably just a die variation that Bytown mentions...I would not hesitate to buy it IMO.

                    Cheers,

                    Glen
