      Hello Josh,

As far as I can tell, all of the parts look original and the bars as a whole do have a believable look to them. But I still have to wonder about them: Someone that rated the 25 & 15 Year NSDAP Long Service Decorations would also rate the 10 Year Decoration. And since the regulations permitted the wearing of all three together, you have to wonder why the 10 Year Decoration is absent from this bar. It also seems a bit odd that a Party Member from the Kampfzeit Period would not have some other decorations on his ribbon bar. Maybe this bar was a display sample from a decorations shop?

The two-place Faithful Service ribbon bar makes me wonder too. Only one Faithful Service Decoration was supposed to be worn, although some recipients did flout that regulation. Still, you would expect to see the 40 Year Cross worn before the 25 Year, not the other way around as on your example. And you would think that a 40 year civil servant would have some other decoration/s on his ribbon bar from WW1 service or even before. Maybe another store display here?

      Best regards,
      Tom

You have summed up my own thoughts on this nicely.

If the 10 year NSDAP Decoration was on the first bar I would not be as concerned though would still be giving it a good once over.

The 40 year Faithful Service Decoration bar we see here could be worn by someone who did not participate in WW1.....though a long shot perhaps.

Both look period and could be for shop displays or even post-war put-togethers with original parts. Truly difficult to say for sure.

          Best regards
          Pierce

            Tom,

Thanks for the educated response! These were my concerns, but I was not sure the order for medal bars.

I'll keep these two in mind, and keep these in mind as I like them bc they only have the long service on them, which is what I'm interested in!

50% of it is my amazing skill to click "rotate clockwise" not once but twice. And the rest 50% is a mixture of magic and voodoo.

They are both original IMHO. These are a perfect example of the confusion that abounded regarding long service medals. The general "Wehrmacht rule" was 2 LS medals . In both of these cases, the military rules were applied- probably by a military tailor.

Note also, that the Wehrmacht rules applied to other LS medals- so PEOPLE IN UNIFORM wore only the 2 senior medals....hence the NSDAP one hints at an "old figher" who was wearing field grey later in the war.....a Volksturm bar?

I have 2 pictures of the civil LS medal ribbons being worn thusly-one to a forester and another to a trains official.
