Sooooooooo easy to "improve" something like this. It's like the tidal wave of "Danzig" long service awards on medal bars that came out a few years back and are still circling, circling, circling out there....

I'd pass just on the statistical probability. The odds are not great. The PARTS may all be original, but you can bet 98.324% that was a 25 Years Civil Service Cross originally on there.
