Slight problem with a Tank Destruction Badge

Found this on another forum, and couldn't resist sharing it:

I'm no expert on these things, but I'd imagine that the tank headed the WRONG DIRECTION might be a subtle clue that this badge isn't genuine.

        WOW!
That's the super rare "southpaw" version for the left sleeve!!

          I don't like this either,.......BUT

Before we write this off, I seem to remember that the Finnish Army based their Tank Destruction Badges on the German ones........except that the Finnish badges featured.........a T34 !!

Thanks Robin I did not know that, Would the facing of the tank for the Finns indicate the Soviets fleeing Any one have some pictures?

Maybe this was the badge awarded to soldiers that accidentally destroyed five of their own tanks in friendly fire incidents...

I've only been able to find a smattering of info on these, but it looks like they weren't based that closely on the German model:

Good information. Clearly there are differences. Thanks.

                    Obvious fake.

The black border braid is too thin ...

                    Regards ...
