    Ribbon bar with stain ???

    Not sure what it is.....any ideas ?.

    Hi,

    Can you post a photo of the reverse please?

    I have a few bars that are stained too. It could be anything from rust to apple juice.
    Unfortunately not everyone kept these items in good storage conditions since 1945.

    I note the two eagles are different varients. I would say the second one has been replaced.
    The ribbon bar itself looks like a nice original.

        It's just rust from the metal plates that the ribbons are mounted on. Quite common on ribbon bars.
