Both medals look fine to me, I would also blacklight the first ribbon, has a strange texture to it, or perhaps this is the pictures?

Both medals look fine to me as well, the ribbon Dez refers too, does look iffy !!

It has the look of being 'ironed'........with a rather to hot iron thus flattening out the material to a degree, or it could be a reproduction ribbon.
