I just went through my great-grandfathers photos again.
It seems that this photo was taken on the top of the Arco.
What do you guys think? Any ideas?

This photo shows the entrance. This is where Philipp`s great-grandfather entered to get to the top of the arch:

And once again: A few parts of the carved marble above the entrance door was saved. I wonder if/hope they still exist.

Just an outstanding thread, a real pleasure to read and learn from. Can only confirm the ribbon was worn in reverse by most Germans with black vs green on the right
