Question- SS 12 year service medal

Hi- I have a question for the experts... does the SS 12 year service medal ALWAYS have a teardrop suspension loop?

Not always, there is another version with a circular suspension loop of which I have only ever come across two examples. both types are well documented in period publications. I don't have access to my files at the moment, but I have posted both types many times before on the forum.
