OST Medal Is It a Good One

The detail doesnt look good to me, something doesnt seem right. I have been waiting to hear other opinions

I did not want to say anything for the reasons as Nick, something looks off with this one but i cant really put my finger on it.

The only thing i can see is that there is some excess material around the helmet. And also the eagels head look a little crooked.

But other then that I just dont know... It may turn out to be a good one.

Can you post a nice clear photo of the rim of the medal?

Looking at the photo, does this look like a casting seem? Maybe not, I am not an expert in these medals.

I am not sure about this. When I received it the first thing I noticed was that it was a bit lighter than my other Ost's and the rim was slightly thiner. Under the helmet, above the grenade there is a dip I have not seen before, not to mention the excess material around the helmet. The leaves on the lower reverse lack detail as well, plus the ribbon is questionable. This could be original but I do not know. I think it may be appropiate to call this a fake.

Looks like a casting seem yes, and even though I am not experienced enough this still turns me off. There's another Ost medal posted here on the General Wehrmacht Awards which has a similar seem but my own Ost medals don't have this seem (and I know mine are original). I also expect much higher quality from the Germans than a medal with an ugly seem.
