    Medal bar opinions

I am looking for any opinions or thoughts on this Medal Bar. I don't usually collect medal bars so any help would be appreciated. I believe that the medals look OK, and the ribbons show some usage/wear.

    Thanks for any comments,
    Randy

Looks good Randy.. tells a good story.. This guy was either a young policeman before WWI or became a soldier. He could have been a policeman man right after WWI if you do the math. He obviously had something to do with Sudetenland occupation. As you probably know that medal was given out to any state officials who participated in the Annexation.

          Thank you, Scott

Yes I like the stories of medal bars as well, esp ones that include EK2 1914 or equivalent

              Nice bar BTW!!

I know that may be exceptions, but the Polizei LS cross shouldn't have the yellow eagle police mounted on the ribbon? I also enjoyed the bar, just like to be enlightened.

                  Greetings,
                  Douglas

Technically, the Polizei cross should have the embroidered eagle on the ribbon.
It should also technically be mounted ahead of the Sudeten medal.

                      All,
Look at the "reverse of the bar" photo....I'm not crazy about the way the ribbon is "mounted", usually they are much more ruffled on the bottom....these look alittle "amaturely" mounted, if you know what I mean......

That, and the incorrect placement of the Sudetenland and the lack of an embroidered Polizei eagle do raise a "red flag" to me......

I know there are many variations, that regulations were not always followed, and "so forth".....but unless this came in a "Vet. lot" I'd have my doubts....personally. All the medals, bar, etc. all look real.....but I guestion the "mounting" itself.

                      Still a very "display-able" bar.....
                      John G.

I'll provide two examples of the Polizei long service cross on bars, to illustrate the cloth eagle and on the gold one, a metal eagle that looks like a national service eagle mounted for the purpose of representing the gold eagle.
