Questions on Army Long Service medal

These aren't my field, so I was wondering if anyone can tell me anything about the Long Service award on this bar? Can you tell the maker? Is it an early-made medal (which would jibe with the early Round 3 EK 2 on the bar)?
    Thanks!

    Hi, George!
I don't think we can speak about certain maker of this medal. But it's original for sure. Sometimes you can find a mm on the back side of the ribbon's eagle.

I think that this 4 yr service medal is an early example.

Reasons being the the quality of the heavy silver plating and the patina of the medal itself. The eagle also leads me to believe this.

Quality of the later ones varies from so so plating to a simple wash.

As to maker. No idea. I doubt you will find anything on the ring either.

      Before LDO time.

I have seen these medals marked with an L number on the edge.

          Interesting George :
Comparing the early one I have - both have the same deep eagle strike . A first look they may look alike but they are noticeable difference . The eagle head on yours sits straight on top of the chest ... as the head on mine leans forward slightly and note the leg feathers ..... different makers I would think ? Have you checked the outside edge on yours for any markings ?
Also can you tell how you ribbon eagle is mounted ... 2 wing pins or a center ring eyelet ?? Do you have a picture of the reverse too .

There are no marks on the edge of the medal, and the eagle is held to the ribbon with two wing pins.
I don't have a full reverse pic of the LS medal yet. I'll try to get one in a few days. (I'm traveling.)

I would imagine that practically everybody made these.

Certainly a few makers ... some are mark - some are not . One I could take a picture of : made of silver - only some frosting remains : marked F/B -- Funcke & BrĂ¼ninghaus .
