Two new Luft ribbon bars

Picked these up this weekend at the Toronto Military Show. Can anybody tell me about the Hamburg ribbon and the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial award? I'm not up on the criteria etc.

Also I couldn't find the thread dedicated to these Luftwaffe bars. Anybody have a link?

Regarding the Prussian 1897 Centenary Medal- I would expect to see a soldier with longer service than 4 years to have this. This was awarded to those already in the military by 1897.

I note this is a tab-back bar. Is it possible that someone has added the Luftwaffe eagle device to a plain blue ribbon that maybe represented the Prussian Imperial 15 or 25 years service medal? Are there any scratches around the tabs Adam? These are just thoughts/speculation.

Great bars, Adam! You know, of course, that I am envious. But congrats to you on some nice pick-ups at the Toronto show.

Pierce is always so helpful with those little things that us non-bar collectors don't think about as much, and can sometimes get caught with. That said, I don't see any dubious scratches around the tab in the photos provided. That doesn't mean that they aren't there upon closer inspection, though.

Glad to hear no scratches...but maybe the guy was careful! But seriously, I am sure there is some explanation as to why only 4 years service.

Luftwaffe ribbon bars are getting harder to find so well done on getting these two!
