    Wehrfahig

Greetings: I have no idea what these medals are or who would have worn them.( I'm not sure if this is even the right thread tp post them in) I think they are a defence medal , but firstly are they real and secondly what are they for. Thank you to anyone who can shed some light on these.
    Best Regards
    Zeke

As I understand, they are for men who have been drafted or accepted into the military but have not yet been inducted to active duty.

Yes, "Wehrfähig" means, "fit for military service."

          Best regards,

Greetings Ron: Thanks for the information . You're right on the money as I checked a German dictionary and "fahig" means fit to serve, able bodied, eligible for military service. Thanks for the response.
            Best Regards

That is a neat looking piece. A friend of mine just picked up a similar-looking one at the OVMS Show in Wilmington: It has the same "bursting bomb" Anhänger at the bottom, but instead of the field artillery piece at the top, it has an antique type of monoplane.

                  Best regards,
