12 piece Luft officer ribbon bar - need some help identifying - thanks!

    Hi Guys,

what are ribbons no 10 and 12? I would guess the latter to be a WWI Turkish medal. No 10 - Italian? Any and all help is appreciated.

    Cheers, Willem

    Thats a long bar.
10 is the Memel medal, and 12 is the Turkish Gallipoli Star.

Hmmm memelland - yes it must be. Even though I know that ribbon but due to the discoloring it is somehow hard to recognize. Thanks! Ibid for the gallipoli star. Much appreciated!

Oh yes I did get it - nice addition I think.

            Definitely! I am jealous!

I believe this is the WW2 ribbon bar of General der Flieger Max Mohr. Here is a photo of his pre-War ribbon bar.

As you can see he dropped the Austrian and Hungarian Commemorative Medals on his war time bar.

The condition of the two bars makes me think they were together a long time before being eventually separated and sold.

            Best regards

You are very welcome! Just promise me that you will think of me first if you ever consider selling.

Yeah...very nice bar there! I wanted that one too, but it was already sold, unfortunately. Congrats on a wonderful acquisition!

Will look superb on a general's uniform.

                    Best regards,

                    Jason

Very nice, Willem! Congratulations to you. Now you need to find the matching medal bar for this one.

And nice job, Pierce, for passing on all that helpful information.

                      Best regards,
                      Tom

                        Hi all.

I found this picture of him as a Generalmajor.

The ribbon bar he's wearing is almost similar to the shorter one pictured below - which happens to be in my collection

By the way again a different arrangement of the ribbons
