Fire Brigade, 1st or 2nd?

Is this a 1st Class Fire Brigade award or a 2nd Class Fire Brigade award? It does not have a pin assembly in the back and is 43mm wide, as is a 2nd Class Fire award. But the seller claims that it is a 1st Class Fire award.

Yes this is a 'second type' First Class Fire Brigade Cross of honour same as the second class but in guilt.

Not 100% sure on this one myself as the pic is not that good.

There are some nice pics of originals on the forum if you search a bit.
