    Three Medal Bar Fakes

    Hi Guys,

Beware of these three medal bar fakes which can be found on ebay. It looks like most of the medals themselves are OK, but the assemblies are modern put-togethers. Some of the ribbons even appear to have a glow in normal light. Strange medal combinations, mixed up order of precedence, no ribbon rosettes, etc. The assembler of these three fake bars sure liked using pinking shears and red thread: Must have failed to realize that medal and cross tie-downs were supposed to be inconspicuous, not visible from a hundred feet away.

    Best regards,
    Tom

That looks like 'Nataliyaa's' handiwork. This fraudster has flooded German ebay lately with crap like this. The best one has the completely ridiculous champagne-bottle medal of Ludwig II attached to it

            Hello Vince,

That would be correct. In addition to the multitude of medal bar monstrosities, he also sells lengths of reproduction ribbon and fake mounting plates in your choice of copper or tin, just in case you want to build your own. I wish I could get a spool of his red thread.

            Best regards,
            Tom

              Hi there, Tom...

Thanks for the alerts! It's truly appreciated that you're helping to keep an eye out for the community.

I'm still learning, but the more you see, the more keen the eye becomes. These examples, I would agree, have horrible stitching. Based on what I've gleaned from you guys thus far, is typically a huge red flag.

              Cheers

              Jason
