Medal Bar - Long Service

Any thoughts on this one?

I'm far from an expert but it looks good.

One thing I just noticed is that the tie down thread on the medals differs in colour(some black, some white).

Asking price is 320E

Hi Wayne,

That one looks good to me also. In my opinion, it is a completely legitimate Third Reich Period assembly. I like to see the different colors of thread being used at the tie-down points, It is an indication of first-rate assembly work. Notice that they even used yellow thread for the tie-down point on the Friedrich-August Medal. Makes the tie-downs inconspicuous rather than sticking out like a sore thumb. Also, the squared off ribbon rosettes, the Hindenburg Cross made by the Dresden firm of Glaser & Sohn, and the presence of the Friedrich-August Medal are all indications that this bar was most likely assembled in Saxony.

Fabulous medal bar Wayne. I really like it. Construction looks really tight, 100% original imo.
