Cased sudeten medal - your opinion welcome!

Hi,

I bought this item and was pretty sure about it being original, the medal seems to be crisp and detailed enough - at least for me.

Also the case seems OK to me - but please, share your impressions with me.

Wich colour is the case hard to tell from these picture's.Is it red or dark brown dark browm is for this medal

Both are original but if the case is red its for the 13 marz medal

Looks good, but.....

Hi Kevin,

Medal, ribbon, and case all look good to me. However, cased annexation medals typically had brooch pin-mounted ribbons on them. Also, the red case like you show was for the Austrian Anschluss Medal. The Czech Annexation Medal was issued in a burgundy-colored case. Therefore, in my opinion, this medal and case were not originally paired together but merely "pieced" together later by a collector.

USA Kev here is a good advice from me to you and i have had collect since early 70s

Use WAF and post pictures before you buy anything and then things get more easier

Yes, the color seems a bit to bright ... let's try this shot maybe? Still I would say it is rather red than burgundy.

Good to know that it's an original case at least, now I just need either a medal into it or sell it

For sure it's a red one. So you can use it for Austria or Memel Anschluss medals!
