SS 8 year Long Service Award Dilemma

Could anyone enlighten me to how many variants of the SS 8 year Long Service award there are, point in question would be one in particular I have been seeing more and more, it has six clear rings to the bottom of the wreath opposed to five relaxed and less detailed. I have compared one to mine and it measures 39mm opposed to 38 and the Wreath is fatter and again more detailed and sharper. An example I could give of this medal is one for sale on Snyders.

    Item Number: GMM-7624

    Thanks for your time people

      Have looked with no joy

I have searched the forum and neither maker has 6 loops, so the conclusion to make is that 6 loop medals are wrong.
I am aware of the EK round 3's which some say were made by Deschler, I have talked to some dealers who claim that the round 3's are fakes.
I was wondering if there was any pattern deviations with the 8yr,,, the medals I have seen with the six loops are very very convincing indeed, even under a loop. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that collecting medals and badges is becoming such a minefield that it is an area to move away from.

Period documentation shows that there were actually four variants of both the 4 & 8 year SS Service Awards ie. Deschler & Sohn, Petz & Lorenz, Otto Schickle and and Steinhauer & Lück; none of which have a six wrap wreath binder. The example that you have linked to is a known fake that can be seen from time to time listed as original on various Dealers' websites. Period documentation also shows that there were only two variants of the 12 & 25 year awards ie. Steinhauer & Lück and one other of uncertain manufacture (possibly Deschler).
