I have seen these medals with two different ribbons. One is black with a red stripe down the middle and the other is black with an orange stripe. Is there any significance to the different colour ribbons?

The stripe in the middle should be red but sometimes with age or whatever ribbon dye is used they turn this orange colour. Personally I prefer this.

same "problem" as with other medal rbbons.. just different type of cotton or what material it is.
Anyway is not medal to the down fake with B between men ?? o.OComment
