    Memel medal packet ect.

This guy at the Portland show has had this Memel medal with the packet for some time. I don't know but overall it looks good to me. Anyway, I was reading a thread somewhere about an issue with the formation of the "M" in Marz and the "A" umlaut size and according to this thread it fit the fake. Well, the guy got it from "Whitman" he says and it's not a fake. The ribbon looks good but it is long and only 25mm wide. The packet looks a little to white to me and the printing on the front doesn't look "right" to me either. No maker stamp on the back either. Maybe I can get a picture tomorrow. We'll see. Can't remember if I ever had one before or not. Doug

Flower war packets, I believe, should not be titled, but should have a markers stamp on the reverse. Medal and ribbon may be original, but how many times have we seen a real medal in a fake packet, it happens often and it's quite easy to do. Then you have the long ribbon, but it's not the standard width this seems more and more a "put together" set and from the description a really poor set. When someone says I got it from " fill in the blank" it means nothing at all. These reasons are probably why he's had it for so long.
It will be interesting to see, but I fear the worst.
