West Wall Award with packet (comments please)

I just purchased this medal today. It is mint condition with ribbon and presentation packet. I posted the packet in the packet/case section of this forum. I'm looking for comments as well as possible maker identification. The reverse of the packet had an ink stamp with a name of "Carl Poelloth" I believe. Is this the actual maker of this medal? If so, are his medals of standard quality or of better quality? Thanks.

        Sammy,

Is this medal made from bronze or zinc?

        Thanks

          Looks like zinc to me.

Pierce I am not an expert by any means when it comes to metalurgy, but I am fairly certain it is zinc.

Ribbon is postwar, if you blacklight it im pretty sure it will glow.

I was thinking it was made from zinc but had to ask. From the photos, for a zinc piece, I think this one is ok. Let us see what others think.

                Kind regards
                Pierce

IMO the medal is fine, but the ribbon makes me wonder.

You guys were right about the ribbon. I just black lighted it and it lights up like a neon sign. I will promptly put the ribbon in my fakes display. Do we still think the medal is good? Also, if anyone is interested I have a thread (in the cases/packet section) on the packet that this medal came in.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Hagen. If you get a chance and are interested let me know what you think about the packet. So far no one has given a review.
