I'm trying to find out the value of an original Totenkopfring der SS Ring for a friend. His Dad died 2 weeks ago and in his closet he found a box with a German luger, SS Ring, Belt buckle, and officers uniform insignia. A letter in the box said he had taken them off a dead SS officer after a major battle late in the war. I haven't seen the ring yet but he said it is well worn and matches the pics here on this site. I will try to get pics posted soon. None of the items are for sale at this time. Thanks, John

John,
First, welcome to the forum. You've come to the right place. There are very knowledgeable people here who will be able to give you fair estimates. The key though to provide clear detailed photos.
Something like a SSTK is mostly about condition, unless it was owned by a officer of note.
The SS guys here will also assist on the other insignias and what not.
Here is my example of a 1943 dated SSTK. Try to get photos of all the way around on both the inside and outside of the ring.
Best Of Hunt,
