Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? If it's from WWII or earlier? I've had it for a long time, inherited it and I've not got the slightest. This seems like the place to go to ask.

It's nothing real. It is a crudely cast fantasy badge bearing spurious RZM markings on the back.

Though it does have a resemblance to a Austro-Hungarian badge of 1918 vintage.
