I think that this medal is a good one.

I have 2 that are magnetic. Eagles included

They both show a certain amount of light filing.

So I wouldn't be too worried about the one you have.

Could be the tombak is softer than the magnetic type and show the marks more.

As far as the eagles go.

I'm told that different firms produced them so there are bound to be different types.

These kinds of marks betweeen the arms of the cross are normal. On some crosses the job is better done than on other examples.


Is the eagle magnetic? It does not look like the any of the fakes I have seen though I would not expect these "lumps and bumps" but this could be the camera flash. What makes you suspicious of it Andrei?

The center eagle and "25" are looks good for me, but the center line on the rim and sloppy filing job make me suspicious, especially on this example, because is not magnetic. The ribbon eagle - not the great quality , which you expect from TR items.
