    Two Place Medal Bar

Bar is now in my hands.

I have checked it and found that the medals are sewn.

    No hooks.

All thread is the same through out the bar(black).

There is some mothing to the backing material.

Please excuse the crappy pictures as I think my camera is going to calve.

The cross was identified in a previous thread as a W&L.

The War Merit cross is non zinc.

Any thoughts on how a non combatant award could end up with an Iron Cross?

Besides the obvious of being a put together.

I think maybe the person who won the KvK without swords was maybe a admin type nowhere near the front lines.

As the war went on and shortages of men happened he was pressed into a combat roll and was lucky enough to win the Iron Cross.

I should rephrase lucky to brave enough.

He can be awarded with KVK in teal, then he was called to the front..

I have been thinking about this from the previous thread. There are a few possibilities, some touched on already. He could have been a home-bird, a civil servant type etc called up mid-War and won the EK2.

A very nice medal bar Wayne, uncommon in my eyes and definately 100% untouched.

            Kind regards
            Pierce

Another thought: Wounded in Poland or France and reverted to Adm. job, hence the WSC.

                    That's another good possibility.

                    Thanks,
