8 Ribbon Bar

This ribbon bar have 8 ribbons . There are some dirty on it . Is it dry blood or water ? And how much will it worth ? I need more opinion about it . Thank you very much . I seldom collect ribbon bars , it is a new area of me .

Unfortunately, this bar is what is referred to as an "Ohio" fake bar.

Aside from the obvious "Ohio" manufacturing techniques and the poor attempt at fake aging with dirt & oil, the dead give away that this bar is suspect & no good should be the Spanish Cross device.

Do a search for "Ohio Fakes" and you'll see plenty of examples.

As for value. . . well what ever you can get for it I suppose.

Really thank you experts , you are so nice . I will search ohio fake , I have never research ribbon bar before . This is a present from my friend , he should have been cheated . Thanks very much .
