    swastika "800" silver necklace

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. But I don't know where else to post so ill give it a shot here. Any idea what this might be? Its marked "800" silver and also hallmarked. I heard it could possibly be for judges but I want solid decision before I contemplate this.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Well a nice piece of art-deco jewelry.

Nothing to do with the TR me thinks.

I think these date in the mid 20s as it it not hall marked most likely US in origin.

Did they use the .800 silver mark in the US ? or was it a continental/Europe mark?

I don't believe 800 silver was ever used in the US and virtually every piece of American silver I've ever handled unless you go back to colonial times was marked "Sterling(925)". Anyone know anything different?

Yep that is true mostly 925 or 'sterling' d but 800 is found on some silver jewelry.

Tacking a closer look I also noticed a name on it so it might be Italian in origin as 800 is very common there.

Same thoughts, so that brings it closer to Germany!

It is hallmarked with 800 and also marked FOAN. Look very closely at the right side of the circle, closest to the ring in the third picture.

The fact that it is a "mobile" swaz lends me to believe it is TR era. Most non -TR's are usually straight on.
