Luftschutz help

Hi guys just received a Luftschutz medal 2nd class in the post today i have 2 now but i am a bit confused i thought i already had an aluminium medal weighing in at 26g but the one i received today only weighs 12g i thought woukd hold back posting pictures until i can clarify the weight of a typical aluminium luftschutz 2nd class medal thanks for listening

Hi 12 seems light even for one of the Alu versions, looks alittle small or is that just the pictures. Have to say Im not sure on this one, but that could be just the pics. lets see what others think.

Hi thanks for the reply i have measured it to another luftschutz i have and the are identical in size and width i also put this up for discussion on the GCA forum and have a had a few replies i do hope others here give there comments

Hi Frank if its just the pic then I would say It has a good chance of being an original (thought date looked small, and right as veiwing mishapen?), Have to say ribbon and fastening look period, colour would be as expected. I have had a couple of these and they were very very light in fact you could barely feel the weight of the award in the hand which came as a surprise. Never weighed then thou. Looking over the pictures nothing cries fake.
