Cased 50 years service cross

Today i finaly find a 50 years service cross in it's original case
The cross is a litle worn but i like the fact that you can see that it has been used.No damage to the black enamel just in a good complete condition.Hope you enjoy it as much as i do

COndition is really dark, can you post better photos pls ?

I know the silver colour is faded it's bad light here now getting dark this is the best i can do for now.

I have no coserns it's not good

This is is daylight maybe better.I think when i clean the badge the silver will come back.But i leave it the way it is dont want the mess with it

Very very nice. I have a document for the 50 year award, I've always wanted to find the medal to go with it. They do come up from time to time, but I'm always to cheap to spring for it!

With new photos I think it is good one. I had one non cased example. It is fine to have one of those. However, military medals, are military medals

There is bad many of them were found unissued after the war. So for me they lack character.

For me (mint) unissued one's lack character.I like a piece that actually is used (worn) that why i like this one.A mint piece just dont got the been there look.Dont get me wrong i really love to see mint one's but i will never purchase one myself.

Yep, your definetly has a character.
Scratches on the enamel, little damage on cornes... If I was you, I would be very happy. I like awards in this type of condition and rarity:-)

This topic brought a very big smile to my face, on the other hand i have sad news for you:

The case you show and the cross have had a short marriage so far, i have had this case for many years in my collection and sold it about two years ago. It didn't hold a cross in the time it stayed with me. Of course that's not a shame, but just thought you wanted to know that the person who sold them to you put them together? I wonder what the seller asked you for this? I sold my case for 150 euro i think?

Here's an old picture of my old set, sold them all but the feldspangen... Im 100% sure this is the same case...

I wonder who sold it to you? Once again our small collectorsworld is too small...
