I dont like the austrian or the sudet medal, they both look fake to me. Could be the pic's, but I doubt it.

I see that my medals are being discussed. Here is the thread that I originally posted.

      http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=470409

I will say that I tried to avoid this by posting them, before listing them. I just want it to be known that I am not trying pass off fakes as originals. If they are indeed fake, please let me know. I currently have someone who wants buy them.

      Thanks,
      Eric
      I once flew in a B-17, B-24, & a B-25. Next, I want to fire an 88 round.

I think the Austria medal is a good zinc piece, the oct. medal indeed looks weird...

Before I listed these I did a search on the forum and spent a few hours researching these. What I came up with was that they were ok besides my original thread. I noticed that the platform in which they stand on in fakes touch the rim. These do not. I realize there are many fakes and these medals are not in my area. Also, I'm sorry, but what scratches are you refering to?
          Thanks,
          Eric

I do not claim to be an expert but both look OK to me. The Sudaten appears to have corrosion on it.

In my opinion the Austrian is a good piece - "cleaned" with a brass wire brush.

The sudeten is no piece which one i want to have in my collection - for me a fake or a bad fabrication.

                Hi Eric,

you are absolutely right to do, so no need for apologizing. What is weird about the oct. medal is the pitting, that usually leads us to modern alloy copies. Yours however looks to be a brass piece. I can hardly believe that somebody would fake these brass badges.

I have seen this pitting also on on of my east medals(which is a 100% original). I would really like to hear more opinions about this piece, imo this could also be a lower quality original.

                Regards,

                Daniel

They both look good to me albeit well worn.
