Placement of Award loops on the breast pocket

    Hello all,

I have an m36 pattern summer tunic that once had a two loops to the direct center of the pocket. I would assume this held the EK1 as there was an EK2 ribbon to the button hole as well. However, to the wearer's right of the pocket there are loops for another award placed slightly higher than the center ones. I believe it was a panzer man's tunic because of the cuff title ghost. Could any award be worn higher than the EK1? Thanks, Pat

It really didn't mean the award had priority over the EK, since the loops for the EK feature prominently in the center of the pocket. IF, the loops are truly for an EK to begin with. The pocket loops could be for a Panzer badge and the other loops for a sports badge.

      Hello Pat,

Not sure about "higher" but i know of 2 awards that were worn above the EK1....the EK1 Spange and the Golden Party Badge.

Can you post pictures? Maybe the loops are not for an EK1. If there is a EK2 ribbon it does not necessarily mean he was awarded an EK1.

      Kind regards
      Pierce

..you can usually figure out what went in the loops by the spacing.
