Thanks for the input. I got it in a grouping of other Third Reich medals. It was sold to me as an original. It came with a piece of unworn mint ribbon. The couple of things that were of a little concern to me is the complete lack of age to the medal. Even with pristine mint items one normally sees some signs of age under magnification. In this respect it does not look 60 or so years old. The other thing is the helmet and the outer rim appears to be of a laquered? army green coloring. The blackened center of the medal is similar to the normal charcoal color with absolutely NO age at all to the eagle, swas or reverse inscription areas. The ring is not marked.
