I´d swear it´s a modern fake made in Poland last year. Look ok in all details, but this strange finishing and some proof of cast make me think that it´s a copy. Last year apeared a new fake made in Poland with the exact original details. So, It´s dificult for me to be 100% sure without having the medal in my hand. Fakes are made in very light metal.
The finishing maybe an optical effect from the photo, I don´t know. But it´s not the tipical look of the laqued mittelgold of originals, which is lost in 99% of cases.
        Just my 2 cents

I'm not an expert on these, but I agree with Gregorio: the soft details and a cast look would make me nervous.

Thanks for your opinions as in this case I am no expert, but here is what I do know:

First of all, this medal cannot be a modern day fake from Poland, because I have it from a certain collector, who had it in his collection since the 60's.

The fact that it has 100% of its finish, doesn't mean it's a copy, it just is. The pics were taken in daylight, so it isn't the exact color in the pic as it is. The fact that it has the finish makes it a bit bright, and the details may not look as sharp as they really do. I will try to take better pics and post them again.

I checked and it weighs 11.2 grams.

These are my two cents. Any more opinions??

This one is close and as Gregorio said I would like to see this one in hand.

11.2 gr is the exact weigh for an original. So I think it maybe a good one. As i said, the light on the picture can fool us about the finishing and texture.

I don´t know, Josef, I had never seen this traces of cast in surface in an original. Although this medal have the correct weigh and details, I don´t like the texture. Originals in my collection are quite diferent in their surface, and I still have my doubt about if this one was in a collection since the 60´s, sincerely.
Looking for a solution: Maybe somebody regildered the medal and the remainder original lacquer under the new gildering gave this result?? I say that cause it´s no usual absolutely to find one of these medals with this gildering, as they were made in zinc alloy 76 years before and the "mittelgold" lacquer is not very hardwearing on this kind of hardware. I fact I´ve had in my hands at least 50 medals of these and I had never seen one of them with this % of gildering remaining.
Too dificult to explain if not a fake as I though since the first moment.
