Hi folks,

Would I be correct in that these are both authentic awards made from some sort of kriegsmetal with the finish gone on the first example? The second one seems to have a bronze wash rather than being made of bronze.

You are right. Both are originals IMO, but I think that the second one is made in bronce, and not bronzed kriegsmetal

the bronze medal is a nice early one, believe made in bronze and the other is a nice later war one. They were made in zinc and pot metal. Both are fine originals.Matt

Thanks for the authentication. I appreciate it.

I'm going to add two more photos that better capture, and illustrate, what makes me think that the 2nd one is also a bronze wash type. It didn't show well before but when up against a know authentic bronze specimen it shows the lighter wash colors and a small streak of the underlying gray metal adjacent to the croc's eye. Would you take a 2nd look for me please?
