    .

Well.... never seen something like that before... If original it most be rare.
As I never have seen them before its hard for me to say. But I like them, and do expect them to be originals:-) Maybe you should try to post them in the imperial forum also.

      Jozef,

Believe these to be good period bars.

Like some of the others I have not seen this style before...a very nice pick up.

I wonder how much more these cost in the day...

I have seen few of them posted up in the forums.... even with devices

As a mainly ribbon bar collector, I must say I do not have any in my humble collection I can kill for a one

                  Glass Ribbon Bars

                  Hello,
These glass ribbon bars are very rare. I have only seen a few in my 38 years of collecting.

Here is a page from my period S&L catalogue and you can see they were more pricey than the standard ribbon bar.

                  Regards,
                  Jody

Actually, the bars pictured on the page are enamel minis.......a bit different from the ceramic bar that started the thread.

Here are a few like the ones pictured on the page from the S&L catalogue.

                    Best regards,
                    Ron

So does anyone here have any idea as to their value?

I might be interested in letting one go.
Seeing how they're so rare, this might be a great deal for one lucky individual.

great quality. If interested in buying these, i would at least pay the double value compared to regular ones.

Peter cannot post pictures, so adding for him, this marvelous and very seldom encountered Stickpin version of the Heer/Marine 4 year Long Service Award....20mmx6mm.........

you can wash in washmachine, could be a benefit for keeping it in good condition..
