    Deumer haul

    Hello all,

Came across this group and wanted to share with you. With the exception of the L/14 marked Mother's Cross in Gold mini everything appears to be Deumer produced, perhaps from a salesman board.

          Very nice!

          Hi William,

Everything looks really nice. I would agree with you that most of these pieces are from a Deumer display board. The ones that I have marked with a red X are probably not from a Deumer board but yes to the other fifteen pieces. And fifteen is exactly the number of pieces that typically went onto a Deumer display board. I'm surprised, though, that the Mother Cross mini is not marked 'L/11'.

          Best regards,
          Tom

            Hello again,

Thanks for your input, yes that is strange about the mini but perhaps they just needed a filler and borrowed one from another maker. I love the NSKK sleeve eagles, they are right next to each other in numbered order.

Here is a Deumer board from my collection. The pieces from your grouping are almost an exact match to the ones on my display board. The only differences I see is that my board has a Bronze Mother Cross mini and yours is a Gold Mother Cross mini; my board has a Wehrmacht 12-Year Long Service Medal whereas you have a Russian Front Medal; and my board has a full-size EK2 Spange and yours is a "Prinzen". Also, I have a KVK2X and your is a KVK2 w/o Swords.

How cool. Your Wehrmacht award has the same thin ribbon as does my RAD! My West Wall ribbon has a pin-hole in it as well for attachment to the board.

                  Hi William,

Those are very nice NSKK eagles and with consecutive serial numbers to boot.

The RZM code number A4/134 was assigned to Bandfabrik Ewald Vorsteher of Wuppertal-Wichlinghausen. No doubt those came right out of the factory.

                  Best regards,
                  Tom

Yes! And did you also notice how both our Social Welfare Medals are mounted on incorrect ribbon: ribbon bar width ribbon for the Austrian Annexation Medal?

Yeah, they're twins. Unfortunately I can't afford to keep both these and a visor a Vet brought back so these have to go on the e-stand.

                      I appreciate your help.
